Good Witch season 5 will have no new episodes this Sunday as the show is going on a hiatus on Hallmark for almost three weeks. Upon its return, Martha (played by Catherine Disher) and Tom (played by Paul Miller) will decide to spend some alone time together, but they will not go very far.
According to the episode synopsis of Good Witch season 5 episode 7, Martha and Tom will have a staycation at the Grey House. Dubbed a "Grey-cation," the couple initially thought that they would enjoy the place for the weekend.
However, instead of spending it by themselves, the two will invite Cassie (played by Catherine Bell) and Sam (played by James Denton) to join them for the staycation. Good Witch season 5 episode 7 will find Cassie and Sam learning new things about each other during a game with Martha and Tom. Will this open up a whole can of worms or will the two's bond grow deeper?
Meanwhile, Grace (played by Bailee Madison) will be going on her first date with Luke (played by Dale Whibley) in Good Witch season 5 episode 7. Sam will give him a hard time as he goes to pick her up for their night out but will this budding romance survive in the show?
Deadline reported that Madison would no longer be signing on for Good Witch next season. Hallmark has renewed the series for a sixth installment, but the good witch's daughter is going to say her goodbye at the end of season 5.
Grace will be graduating from high school in the Good Witch season 5 finale coming up in August. Thus, this will be the natural progression of the character's storyline as she is expected to leave town when she goes to college.
In fact, in the last episode of Good Witch season 5, Grace and Cassie went on a road trip to check out potential colleges. Though she failed to be accepted at her chosen school, Grace and her mom thought that they could check out Cassie's former college, Wellingsly.
It was love at first visit for Grace at her mother's old school in Good Witch season 5 episode 6. Best of all, the school is just a three-hours' drive away from their home.
Meanwhile, Good Witch season 5 has three or four episodes left to air until the season wraps up on Hallmark. The show is also available on Amazon Prime.
