T.O.P currently completed his mandatory military service, and a lot of people are happy that he’s finally back from enlistment. Although he was involved in a marijuana controversy back in 2017, most fans have forgiven the BIGBANG star and want nothing but for him to move on from it.

While T.O.P’s marijuana scandal seems to die down, that is not the case for his former bandmate Seungri. The ex BIGBANG member is currently facing a lot of accusations, and most of them are pretty serious. So will Seungri’s case affect T.O.P after his discharge?

K-pop is a very cruel world. A lot of fans are very unforgiving, and the media is there to remind you of your mistake always. This is the reason why 31-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and the actor did not face reporters after completing his compulsory duty and had a secret fan meeting with VIPs instead.

But since Seungri had been his member for over ten years, T.O.P might be asked about the cases of the 28-year-old songwriter, record producer, actor, entrepreneur, DJ, and creative director. The BIGBANG star is still very much remorseful for his controversy, so Seungri’s case is something that T.O.P don’t need to deal with right now.

“Even though I am not proud of myself, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the fans who made time and efforts to share this moment with me,” T.O.P wrote on Instagram after his discharge. “I will make sure to reflect on my self and repay the hurts and disappointments I caused to you. Again, thank you. Until I see you again.. love, T.O.P.”

To be fair, when T.O.P’s case was brought up in 2017, the other BIGBANG members were not dragged into it. So hopefully, the rapper will not be affected by Seungri’s case as well.

The former BIGBANG star is currently facing seven charges: solicitation of prostitution and prostitution mediation, occupational embezzlement of Burning Sun funds, occupational embezzlement of attorney’s fees, instigating destruction of evidence, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes, and violation of the Food Sanitation Act.

Seungri was already forwarded to prosecution, but there are no recent updates regarding this matter. As for T.O.P, he has not been seen in public after the fan meeting. However, he promised VIPs that he would see them soon.
