By the time the next iPhone is released this coming September, most of the Android flagships lined up against the iOS device would have come out. As always the case, these Android smartphones boast of powerful specs designed to overwhelm Apple's bet. But the game the two sides play will remain a realm dominated by the 2019 iPhones.
That's because the iPhone line this year, expected to be called the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Max and the iPhone 11R, will be powered by Apple's in-house A13 SoC. This upcoming chip will debut "with greatly enhanced multi-core CPU performance, according to BGR's report, which sourced its information from tech tipster Ice Universe.
While the claim remains unconfirmed, it's unsurprising that the next iPhone release will enjoy an edge over the competition. There were instances in the past that Android flagships were able to give their iPhone counterparts a good fight but only when the RAM provisions have been increased.
In a regular face off though, where the inside components are in near parity level it is the iPhone that almost always wins. "It's Apple that still leads the way when it comes to mobile performance," the BGR report said.
Apple's A13 chip is predicted to again dominate thanks to the technology behind it. Per the insider info obtained by Ice Universe, A13 is being manufactured by TSMC on 7nm EUV technology and will the first chipset to do so. Somehow, this is a solid assurance that the chip will deliver enhancements in multiple levels as opposed it its immediate predecessor.
A13 too will maintain the huge gap enjoyed by Apple devices over Android in terms of GPU showdown. Ice Universe said the new GPU will be "far beyond the Android camp's SoC. According to Cult of Mac, A13 and therefore the next batch of iPhone models will have a one year advantage in the graphics competition.
It is believed the A13 mass production is now underway and its 7nm production process will be of the more superior type, specifically when pitted against the same technology used by Samsung with the Galaxy S10.
If the iPhones of last year was outperformed by the Samsung Galaxy S10, as pointed out by WCCFTech on its report, it will be a different ballgame that Apple plans to play in order to smoke the competition.
The claim by Ice Universe will get validated once the iPhone 11 line is launched and released September this year. It will be a force to reckon with but A13 is unlikely to enjoy its dominance for too long as, by early 2020, the Samsung Galaxy S11 will hit the market and its supposed powerhouse chip of Snapdragon 865 will certainly challenge all the premium mobile capabilities deployed with the A13 processor.
