If you thought that Ariana Grande had great chemistry with Social House's Mikey Foster in her new Boyfriend MV, you must be on to something because the pair is most likely dating in real life.
According to a report by Cosmopolitan, fans were quick to deduce that the constant collaborators were seeing each other because the explosive chemistry they share on screen and their natural rapport during their romantic scenes.
Two outfits have already claimed that Ariana and Mikey are most definitely more than friends, citing sources that said that in recent months, the pair's friendship had taken a more passionate turn. However, the source stopped short of putting a label to the budding relationship between the talented musicians.
Fans also take a cue from Ariana's explanation of the motivation behind the Boyfriend MV. In a tweet, she said: "well, i feel like this song captures a common theme in the lives of so many people i know ! people want to feel love but don't want to define their relationship & have trouble fully committing or trusting or allowing themselves to fully love someone. even tho they want to."
Many entertainment pundits believe that this was Ari's way of saying that her new song was a description of her relationship status and the fact that she collaborated with Social House to create this music could be more than a telling hint that Ari and Mikey were on the same wavelength in terms of relationship views.
Before the release of the Boyfriend MV, Ariana has mentioned that her new music will tackle on the general themes of taking a leap and trusting someone, as well as having faith that one would be enough for that one person. She said that the track would be very relatable, especially to those who have a crippling crush on someone whom they cannot tell, Yahoo reported.
Boyfriend was not the first time that Ariana collaborated with pop duo Social House made up of Mikey Foster and Scootie Anderson. The duo was also part of the team that created the megahit Thank You, Next which is currently nominated for Video of the Year at MTV's prestigious Video Music Awards.
Thank You, Next has been viewed over 407 million times in youtube since it was posted last December while the Boyfriend MV has already amassed 30 million views since it dropped last August 2.
