Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has turned 38 years old on Sunday, Aug. 4. To commemorate her special day, her extend royal family posted their greetings on their social media accounts, thus further crushing unfounded rumors that Prince Harry's wife is not welcomed in this prestigious family.
Leading the deluge of birthday greetings for Duchess Meghan was Prince Harry, whose message appeared on the Sussex Royal Instagram. He wrote a simple note to his wife along with her photo.
"Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure! - Love, H," the dedication read.
Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton also posted their birthday greetings for Duchess Meghan on the Kensington Palace Instagram. The message was a simple one with the photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge together with the celebrator and her husband.
Clarence House on Instagram also dedicated a special birthday greeting for Duchess Meghan. The post had three photos to include a solo shot of the former actress and two other photos with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla.
But the birthday greetings for Duchess Meghan didn't end with just her brother and sister-in-law as well as her father-in-law. Even Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip sent their birthday message for Prince Harry's wife via the Royal Family Instagram.
Prince Andrew, Prince Harry's uncle and the brother of Prince Charles, also shared a photo of Duchess Meghan to greet her on her 38th birthday. He posted a photo of his niece-in-law with Prince Harry during the recent Trooping of Colour.
Incidentally, there's a very special reason why Aug. 4 is special to the royal family aside from the fact that it's Meghan's birthday. The Queen's mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, who married King George VI, was also born on the same day or exactly 81 years after the Queen Mother's birth.
Though Duchess Meghan has never met the Queen Mother, who died in 2002, she will always have this special connection with her. Ironically, the Queen Mother was in the same position as Meghan as the wife of the third in line to the throne during her time. Her husband would not have been king if not for his older brother, who gave up the crown.
It is expected that Duchess Meghan has spent her birthday quietly at home with Prince Harry and their son, Archie Harrison. Reports say that the Duchess of Sussex didn't want to have a lavish party for her birthday.
