Many believed that YG Entertainment did not make BIGBANG, but BIGBANG made YG Entertainment - even Yang Hyun Suk said this. The music executive, rapper, dancer, and record producer founded the agency in 1996, but G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri made it a top label after their debut in 2006.
With that said, many may have thought that BIGBANG was living in luxury during their rookie days, but it was the opposite. YG Entertainment rookie idols now have it way better than a decade ago when G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri were newbies.
As rookies, BIGBANG lived a very modest lifestyle. Their house was pretty simple, which is not the case with the YG rookies now. Almost eleven years ago, MBC’s Manwon Happiness featured BIGBANG in their show and revealed how they were living as a rookie group at the time.
G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri had a tiny place, and they each have chores to make. Their kitchen was so small that they could only put a tiny table in the middle that could barely fit their meal. (Check out the photo here). If you think that YG Entertainment was not taking care of BIGBANG well when they were rookies, that’s not true. The truth is that the company was still struggling at the time so that it couldn’t provide a better lifestyle for the boys. Their building was old and dirty during those days. Fast forward to 2019, and everything is different. Thanks to the success of BIGBANG, YG Entertainment can now give better accommodations for their rookie idols. Unfortunately for G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri, they didn’t get to experience this extra-special treatment when they were newbies, but they’re happy for sure that they were the main reason why their company was able to do so for the newcomers.
YG Entertainment’s new building is modern and huge, where artists could enjoy the amenities. (Check out the photos here, here, and here). Their rooms are much bigger than BIGBANG’s rookie house. But don’t feel bad for G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri, they are now living the luxury life that everyone envisioned them doing before. The BIGBANG boys have expanded their brands and became businessmen, record producers, actors, fashion icons, etc., adding to their already impressive resumes and net worths.
