BTS has expanded its brand and collaborated with foreign artists. One of their popular collaborations is with Halsey.
Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook released “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey back in April, and it quickly became a hit. As of this writing, the music video has garnered almost 500,000 views on YouTube. It is safe to say that the BTS and Halsey collaboration is a huge success.
Both camps didn’t just get a hit song out of their collab, but Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook became good friends with Halsey. The 24-year-old singer and songwriter even gave the BTS boys matching bracelets before their performance at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
Being the gentlemen that they are, they also wanted to return the favor, and RM asked Halsey what she wanted if they will give her a present. She laughed and said, “First of all, that’s cheating. They’re trying to figure out what I want by asking me and putting me on the spot.”
Then Halsey explained that she couldn’t think of anything that she wants from them as a gift, because she felt that they already gave her that during their collaboration. “I think maybe just them always being so understanding and patient and calm and cool whenever we’re doing stuff, and I’m learning something for the first time,” she said. “I think ultimately that’s the best gift they have given me and can continue to give me.”
The singer further noted that she’s used to being a solo artist that sharing a stage with seven boys was pretty difficult for her. Halsey then said that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook made her feel comfortable even though she messed up the choreography formation. “I’m glad that they’ve been so patient with me and it’s made it fun,” she added.
