Zac Efron and Lily Collins dating rumors are back in the headlines again. Recent reports claimed that the ex-lovebirds may be rekindling their romance after they were spotted hanging out again.
The pair worked together in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile, which is a 2019 American biographical crime thriller. The Netflix flick is a chronicle of the crimes of the infamous serial killer and necrophile Ted Bundy, played by Zac Efron. Lily Collins portrayed Bundy’s longtime partner Liz Kendall.
“They’ve had amazing nights together,” a source of Star magazine alleged. “They’ve always had a spark, and they were so good together — but back then Zac was a huge star, and Lily was still starting out.”
The insider then added that Zac Efron and Lily Collins dating rumors could be true as they were allegedly hanging out a lot after they finished filming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile. Since their job was already done, these moments appeared to be a little suspicious.
The tipster even noted that if the 30-year-old English-American actress, model, and writer will have it her way, she and Zac would be together romantically. “No one will be surprised if Lily tries to get serious with Zac again. It’ll make for a very interesting publicity trail when it’s time to promote their movie, that’s for sure!” The source claimed.
However, Gossip Cop quickly slammed this report, saying that there is absolutely no truth to the claim. The site reached out to a source close to Zac Efron, who completely denied the story from Star.
The Gossip Cop insider explained that although the ex-lovers still maintain a good friendship, the Zac Efron and Lily Collins dating rumors are definitely false. The actress had previously admitted that she and Zac are good pals saying, “I used to do reporting for Nickelodeon, so I literally interviewed him at an orange carpet event years ago. We’ve been friends ever since, so we finally got to work together.”
The site then pointed out that Star may have made an issue out of nothing, just because the stars were working in the same movie. It is safe to say that Zac Efron and Lily Collins are still friends, but not lovers.
