Is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 about to premiere on Amazon? Fans have been wondering when the new episodes of the Emmy-winning series should drop on the streaming platform.
Amazon has not yet confirmed the latest season's release date. It will likely be revealed when the first teaser to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 is also out.
But according to Pop Sugar, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 may be gearing up for a November or December 2019 release. Previous seasons also came out around this same time because these are good months for binging and watching as viewers will be enjoying their holiday break.
For now, what's certain is that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 will have eight episodes as confirmed on TV Line. It's two episodes shy of the second season, which had 10.
The new episodes will still bring back the show's favorite stars like Rachel Brosnahan (as Midge Maisel), Tony Shalhoub (as Abe Weissman), Alex Borstein (as Suzie Myerson), Marin Hinkle (as Rose Weissman), and Michael Zegen (as Joel Maisel). However, there will also be several new faces like Cary Elwes, Stephanie Hsu, and Emmy-winning actor Sterling K. Brown.
Their roles have been largely kept a secret from the fans, but there are some speculations that Brown could play a big shot producer or manager for Mrs. Maisel's roadshows. Brown has reportedly earned a three-episode appearance for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3, and his part was specially written for him on the request Brosnahan.
Meanwhile, Amy Sherman Palladino told Variety that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 would finally focus on Midge's blossoming career as a stand-up comic. She will get consistent gigs and bookings, which will also bring its twist and stories.
But viewers will still be getting some answers about Midge's personal life. Will Zachary Levi return to play Benjamin, Midge's rich and progressive fiancé or is she going to get back together with her ex-husband Joel because of how they ended the second season?
Zegen hinted in an interview with Town & Country that his character would chart his path and life as well, just as Midge is working on hers. What Joel and Midge shared in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 2 finale is nothing but a blimp because the actor believes that their characters should not be together.
