It is true when they say that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Commoners want to be a prince or a princess, while Royals want to know what it’s like to be a regular person. This is, reportedly, what happened to Prince Harry.

Prince Harry is the second son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, and the younger brother of Prince William. Although he is currently the sixth in line to the throne, doesn’t mean that he has less royal obligations. In fact, his life as a prince reportedly got a little too much for him, that he did something to make him “feel normal.”

Since a lot of people, even outside England, recognize Prince Harry, it is quite hard for him to go out without people wanting to talk to him or take his picture. Thanks to full-face crash motorbike helmets, the Duke of Sussex can go out freely without being recognized and get the “normalcy” that he had been yearning.

Unfortunately, just like any other regular people, Prince Harry is not exempted from making a mistake. Although he tried so hard not to be a prince even for a day, his royal status came in handy when he got trouble with the law.

In the book “Prince Harry: The Inside Story,” royal author Duncan Larcombe revealed that the younger brother of Prince William was previously pulled over by local police officers after he was caught speeding. “On one occasion, he decided to ride down to Kent for the day to eat fish and chips by the seaside. But as he charged down the M2 motorway towards Canterbury with his protection officers in pursuit, Harry had an experience familiar to many riders. He was pulled over by local police, who had clocked him breaking the speed limit,” Duncan shared.

Two of Prince Harry’s protection officers tried to settle the issue by pulling out their Met Police badges. However, the officers “were not having it.”

As the officers were issuing their penalty notices, Prince Harry “finally lifted his visor to smile at the officers.” That’s when they realized that they were in the presence of Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, so “they laughed and miraculously had a sudden change of heart. This time a verbal warning would, in their view, suffice.”

This is certainly not the first time that Prince Harry tried to live a normal life. According to a royal source, the Duke of Sussex tried to find normalcy in the Army where his fellow soldiers saw him just as Harry. “This was one of the main reasons a military career was so appealing to Harry. As an officer, he could be normal,” they said.
