The talks of Just Add Magic Season 4 has been around since the show's fiftieth episode, titled Just Add Goodbye, wrapped things up. While the finale title already hinted that the show would no longer return for a new season, fans have remained patient and positive.
No confirmation has been heard yet about the show's renewal or cancellation. This is why many are still looking forward to witnessing new episodes of the fantasy teen series on Amazon.
Even so, previous reports contended that Just Add Magic Season 4 might no longer happen. Considering how the final episode of Season 3 went a few months ago, it gives away the notion that the three best friends have finally outgrown the magical cookbook.
However, it surprised everyone down to their cores when the series star, Aubrey Miller posted a status on her social media account. Based on her update, Just Add Magic will be back for a special episode this October.
It is not revealed if it will feature the same continuity as what the show had in its first three seasons. The synopsis hints though that Kelly, Hannah, and Darbie will be back to find new individuals to protect the magic cookbook. Hence, the title Just Add Magic: New Protectors.
According to Time, the special episode will premiere on October 25. But, other than this information, nothing much has been shared about the show's future.
Fans are convinced that Just Add Magic Season 4 may still return. However, it may no longer feature the same characters and settings. This is why many consider the upcoming special episode as a "transition" installment, especially if the production decides to move forward with a new season.
Whatever the case though, no one knows for sure. So, it is best if fans would see the specials first.
Aside from Just Add Magic's upcoming episode, Amazon Prime Video will also offer other new materials this October. The platform's originals will include the pilot seasons of Jestination Unknown, One Mic Stand, and Modern Love.
Modern Love is said to be one of Amazon's biggest shows of the year. It stars Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, and Dev Patel.
As for the platform's series materials, Goliath Season 3 will arrive on October 4, and Unforgotten Season 3 will premiere on October 28. A special episode will also be available for If You Give A Mouse A Cookie on October 25.
Movies like Spiderman: Far From Home, Annebelle Comes Home, and Toy Story 4 will also be available on Amazon for renting and buying.
