Ever since Meghan Markle became a part of the royal family, critics have been having a field day talking ill about the Duchess of Sussex. The wife of Prince Harry is, oftentimes, being compared to Kate Middleton. Although they are both completely different people with different royal obligations, people just couldn’t stop talking about them, and even start rumors about their relationship.
Unfortunately for Meghan Markle, most of the comparison stories are about praising Kate Middleton and criticizing her. Now, fans of the Duchess of Sussex are claiming that Prince William and his wife are not defending Markle because they are benefiting from the hate towards her.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used private jets during their trip back in August, they were slammed for it. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are activists of climate change. So, they were called “hypocrites” by critics for their expensive and lavish trip.
Not long after that, Prince William and Kate Middleton went on a trip of their own with their three young children. This time, however, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted to fly commercial, gaining them a lot of praise from the public.
“The Cambridge fandom honestly makes me sick. The reason Willy and Duchess dolittle haven’t spoken out against the hatred Meghan is facing is because it makes them look better! They seriously thrive on it and you can tell,” one Twitter user wrote. “I agree with you! The treatment of H&M [Prince Harry and Meghan], M in particular, has ‘canonized’ them! They are now applauded & admired for doing absolutely nothing! K has been reduced to a mere clothes rack! As for him, I hope their kids look to their active, impactful Aunt & Uncle for guidance!” another one shared.
HollywoodLife previously reported that. despite all the claims that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle don’t get along, they actually “are on great terms.” The insider, then, added that “Kate has been, and continues to be, a big help to Meghan. She’s very sympathetic to her circumstances, as far as joining the Royal family by marriage, so she’s always gone out of her way to make her feel welcome.”
As for Meghan Markle, she is reportedly very appreciative of Kate Middleton. So, it seems that the fans of Prince William and his wife, and Prince Harry and the former actress are the ones who are feuding over things. It appears that the Cambridges and Sussex’s are doing just fine, and other people are making a big deal out of nothing.
