Kate Middleton grew up as a commoner. While most women dreamt of marrying a prince someday, Kate actually did it. In April 2011, she married Prince William, who is second in line to the throne.

In short, Kate Middleton is the wife of a future king, basically making her a future queen. Despite not being born royal, people see the Duchess of Cambridge as a true-blooded princess at the moment. In fact, her commoner background made her an instant crowd favorite.

Now, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buckingham and political author Sir Anthony Seldon said that Kate Middleton will be a respectable queen when Prince William becomes king in the future. “Kate has that rare ability, possessed by very few people, of being able to talk to, speak to, relate to those of utterly different ages, backgrounds, ethnicities. It’s a magical talent that is infinitely precious,” he said in the documentary “Kate: The Making of a Modern Queen.”

Sir Anthony Seldon pointed out that, to be a queen, there are only two options: it’s either you have the ability, or you don’t. He said that while most don’t have it, Kate Middleton surely does. (Watch the full documentary here).

As for social historian and author Ferdinand Mount, he predicted that Kate Middleton will be a good queen and would not do anything to ruin the monarchy. “She seems to be a rather modest, cautious sort of person who's unlikely to endanger the monarchy. And I should have thought she would be a kind of reassuring presence,” he said.

Even without the help and overview of the royal experts, a lot of people are already convinced that Kate Middleton will be a great queen. Many see her as someone beautiful inside and out. Fans even share that the Duchess of Cambridge reminds them of Prince William’s mother, the late Princess Diana.

While some are not happy that Kate Middleton is being compared to Princess Diana, saying that she is a different person and should not be compared to anyone else, this is actually a great sign. Princess Diana was loved by many. Most people are intimidated by the royal family, considering their stature in the monarchy. But, the Princess of Wales made them feel comfortable and at ease, dubbing her the “People’s Princess.”

Although nobody could ever replace Princess Diana, many believe that Kate Middleton could be the next best thing.
