Prince Harry is famously known for his goofy ways, especially during his younger years. But, the Duke of Sussex also sometimes shows his soft side, and the latest one is during his speech at the WellChild Awards.
Prince Harry got a little choked up when he gave a touching speech at the charity event. Being a dad now, the Duke of Sussex couldn’t hold his emotions and struggled to fight back his tears while talking about sick children.
While a lot of people were moved with Prince Harry’s emotions, Piers Morgan was not too pleased with what happened and even called the father-of-one “unnatural.” The host, who is a huge critic of Meghan Markle, criticized the Duke of Sussex and said that he was worried about him.
“But strange to be like that. It doesn’t seem natural Harry to me,” he said. “I’m a bit worried about him. I think being married and fatherhood has changed him. He seems slightly on the edge to me.”
Piers Morgan appeared to point out that being married to the love of his life and having a baby should be a magical moment for Prince Harry. So, seeing him very emotional during his speed had a negative impact on the host. “I don’t know what’s going on with him. Harry, there’s a lot of emotional stuff coming out of him,” he continued. “Last night, a lot of anger at the media, emotion. It seems a bit concerning to me. I hope he’s got enough people around him.”
Kevin Maguire agreed to Piers Morgan and said that Prince Harry’s reaction was a little scripted. But, some defended the Duke of Sussex like Andrew Pierce, who said that the moment might have reminded the new dad of his mother Princess Diana, whom he lost due to a tragic car accident when he was young.
Susanna Reid also said that she understood Prince Harry’s reaction, saying that, “they’ve come back from that big trip under a lot of scrutinies. It seemed to be positive, then they went into a big battle with the press, and I can imagine, that’s a tough time.”
Things had not been easy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Ever since the former actress joined the royal family, she has been criticized for everything, which upsets the Duke of Sussex.
Prince Harry had enough of all the hate that he decided to sue some tabloids to give them a lesson. However, many believed that it was a wrong and pointless move since British tabloids are known to be extremely brutal.
