TWICE's Mina made a special appearance at their 4th-anniversary fan meeting over the weekend. Though many of their fans were thrilled to see Mina performing on stage again, some expressed concern that she might not yet ready to be in the spotlight again. TWICE's agency, JYP Entertainment, made a statement about the matter.

JYP clarified that Mina attended TWICE's One Halloween 2 fan meeting in Seoul on her free will. The agency stressed that, after discussion with the members of the K-pop female group, they have decided that Mina could start getting her foot back on stage through their fan meeting.

JYP Entertainment, however, added that Mina's future schedule has not yet been decided. It said that the final decision about the singer's participation in TWICE future activities would depend on her condition. The agency maintained that they prioritize Mina's health above anything else when it comes to making decisions about her career.

TWICE's leader Jihyo also spoke up about Mina's appearance in their fan meeting. During the event, Jihyo revealed that they are supposed to continue with group activities with only eight members. Mina, however, talked to them and told them that she wants to join the anniversary fan meeting to celebrate with the members and their fans.

In July, JYP Entertainment announced that Mina is suffering from an anxiety disorder, and she will be taking a break from group promotions to focus on her health. Mina was pulled out of the ongoing TWICELIGHTS world tour. She also did not participate in the promotions of the group's latest album, Feel Special, which was released on September 23 though she appeared in its music video.

Mental health problems have been a long concern in the K-pop industry. There was a renewed interest in the issue following the sudden death of former f(x) member Sulli. It was revealed that Sulli has been struggling with mental health problems as she has been the subject of cyberbullying. The 25-year-old K-pop singer took her own life last week.

Meanwhile, TWICE shared a new group photo and released a special video to thank their fans for supporting them for the past four years. Mina also posted on the group's official Instagram account a photo of herself wearing angel wings. The snap was taken during the recent TWICE's fan meeting. The group also released a special video, titled "Be as ONE," to look back on the memories that the members and their fans shared in the past years.

TWICE will be back on the road when they resume their TWICELIGHTS world tour on October 23 in Hokkaido, Japan. The group will have tour stops in seven cities in the country. TWICE is also set to drop their second Japanese album, &TWICE, on November 20.
