Rihanna never leaves the spotlight though it's been a while since she last released a new album. The media continues to trail the singer because of her growing business and her personal life. She is, currently, busy promoting her beauty products while dating billionaire businessman Hassan Jameel and, at the same time, showing interest again to her ex Chris Brown.
Rihanna has been receiving backlash from her fans lately after she posted a video to promote her Fenty Beauty products. The clip of her new collection of lip gloss sparked controversy because of her choice of background music. It is Chris Brown and H.E.R.'s collaboration, "Come Together."
Many of her fans have adverse reactions to RiRi's move. Some slammed the Unapologetic hitmaker for using Brown's song on her video. The clip garnered more buzz when the "No Guidance" singer shared his thoughts about his former girlfriend's BGM choice.
Brown is flattered that his ex continues to listen to his music. He did say much when he first dropped a red heart emoji on the original post. But, then, he made a follow-up post, which said it all and pissed Rihanna's fans even more.
"️For life. Keep winning QUEEN," he wrote.
Brown also reposted RiRi's video on his own Instagram story to which many fans also reacted. Some believed that both Brown and Rihanna might have moved on from what happened between them 10 years ago.
Back in February 2009, Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna just before the Grammy Awards. The R&B singer pled guilty to the felony assault charge and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years of probation, and counseling. The domestic violence case left a stain on Brown's career since.
It is interesting to note this is not the first time this year that Breezy faced backlash after he left a comment on RiRi's post. Last month, he also left a suggestive comment on a photo of Rihanna in her underwear.
"I wanna be the lamp," wrote Brown, referring to the lamp lying next to Rihanna on the bed.
In May, the 30-year-old singer also dropped a comment on Rihanna's photo in her Fenty lingerie. Then, he followed it up with another comment begging his ex-girlfriend to release new music. So far, the "Diamonds" singer has yet to reply to any of Brown's comments.
The Indigo hitmaker is, reportedly, expecting his second child with ex-girlfriend Ammika Harris. Aside from Rihanna, Brown also had an on-and-off relationship with Karrueche Tran. He also dated model Indyamarie earlier this year.
