Its been an eventful month for BTS Jimin as he broke another record on Spotify. This time, his new record is for having three of his solo songs reach 60 million streams on the streaming platform.
According to a report by All Kpop, Spotify announced on Oct. 24 that Jimin's Serendipity full-length edition broke the 60 million stream milestone. This was the third of Jimin's songs to surpass 60 million streams, cementing his record as the first Korean artist to do so.
It can be recalled that Jimin, similarly, made history when he became the first Korean act to have 50 million streams for three of his solo releases. He, previously, dethroned Psy to seize the record.
Early this year, Lie, Jimin's solo track from the BTS: Love Yourself album, broke through the 60 million streams mark and now has 84,841,796 streams. Meanwhile, the combined Serendipity intro and full versions managed to accumulate 127,035,952 streams on Spotify.
Jimin's Lie and Serendipity are also performing well among the most streamed songs in the UK as they posted the highest volume of streams among the BTS members' solo releases.
In addition to his Spotify record, Jimin also bagged a record on SoundCloud as his solo track Promise became the 6th most streamed song on the platform for all time. He even surpassed the streaming record of international stars like Drake, Fetty Wap, Post Malone, 21 Savage, Big Baby DRAM, and Lil Yatchy.
Previously, Jimin's Promise destroyed Drake's SoundCloud record for the biggest 24 hours debut song. The BTS member continued to make waves as the first Korean act to make it to the Top 10 Most Streamed Songs list for the pop ballad category. Promise now holds the record as the most played pop ballad song on SoundCloud. It is also the longest-charting Asian song on the music platform, All Kpop reported.
All of these successes are only part of Jimin's eventful birthday month. The idol, who recently turned 24 years old, trended in all of Twitter's Top 20 worldwide trending topics as fans stormed the social media platform to share their greetings to him on Oct. 13.
It seems though that Jimin will continue to amaze fans as he enters top lists on almost a daily basis. In a recent survey, fans agreed that Jimin is among the top idols with the best handwriting. It appears that signing all those autographs is further improving his penmanship.
