Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Markle, is calling out the royal for her emotional revelation in the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. The older sister said that Meghan was "ludicrous" to expect people would ask if she was OK when she has not even bothered to call their father and ask how he is.
Samantha blasted her younger sister for complaining about her royal life when she knew what she wanted and got it despite the the media scrutiny. Meanwhile, Samantha said that their father, allegedly, never got a call from the Duchess of Sussex even after suffering from two heart attacks.
The sister also said that she's not being unfair to Meghan by calling her out. She said that she's only telling the truth and was not being mean to the duchess. If there was one positive thing she could tell Meghan, though, is that her son looks adorable, just like Prince Harry.
Samantha's latest comments about Meghan come after Daily Mail reported that she is under an investigation for cyberbullying in the United States. Apparently, Samatha's Twitter was suspended this year as part of the investigation. Cyberbullying in Florida, where she is based, is considered a felony under the laws against stalking.
Police confirmed that Samantha is aware of her case but no arrests have been made as of press time. Apparently, authorities received four different complaints coming from other countries, however, there are no evidence to show who made these complaints against Meghan Markle's sister.
Meanwhile, despite no support coming from her family, dozens of female MPs at the U.K. Parliament signed a letter of solidarity for Meghan Markle. They sent the letter to Prince Harry's wife last Tuesday, which stated that they are calling out the "outdated, colonial undertones" reflected in the stories written about the duchess in the media.
Holly Lynch led the group that crafted the letter. She posted on Twitter that they have foregone party lines and set aside their differences to support the Duchess of Sussex.
Lynch's post received over 14,000 likes thus far with many commenting that it is a commendable move. Despite the U.K.'s tumultuous issue with Brexit, the female MPs took time for this letter.
Fans of the former American TV star also thanked the politicians for acknowledging and showing support for Meghan Markle. She is, they say, a champion of female empowerment after all and this was the most empowering move of solidarity to show to the world.
