Although Prince William and Prince Harry never really fully addressed their alleged feud, the latter didn’t deny when asked about the rift in his and Meghan Markle’s ITV documentary. The Duke of Sussex’s statement was enough for everyone to confirm that something is going on between the royal brothers.
In the new documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Prince Harry was asked, "There's been a lot of talk in the press about rifts with your brother. How much of that is true?" To which he replied, “We're brothers, we'll always be brothers. We're certainly on different paths at the moment. But I will always be there for him, as I know he'll always be there for me."
The fallout of Prince William and Prince Harry appeared to begin when the latter got married to Meghan Markle in 2018. Adding a new member to the royal family was not an issue for the brothers since the younger prince was actually very close to his older brother’s wife, Kate Middleton. So, what happened?
While there are a lot of speculations about Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud, it is safe to say that no one really knows what happened or how it all started. Unfortunately for Meghan Markle, she was the easiest target to blame for the rift.
Now, Prince William and Prince Harry may finally settle their beef as the princes may possibly meet in Japan to watch the Rugby World Cup Final. The royal brothers are known for their love of sport and they usually go together -- most of the time with Kate Middleton -- in the past to attend some exciting events.
After watching England play New Zealand on Saturday, Prince Harry couldn’t contain himself from praising the team and Buckingham Palace announced that he will be traveling to Japan. “The Duke of Sussex, Patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), will visit Japan to attend the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final between England and South Africa on Saturday 2nd November. Further details will be announced later in the week,” the statement read.
Since there was no mention of Meghan Markle, it was assumed that the Duke of Sussex will go alone while his wife stays at home. As for Prince William, there was no confirmation if he will be traveling to Japan as of this writing. But knowing for his love of the sport, he may go and watch the Rugby World Cup Final as well.
Will this be the perfect moment for Prince William and Prince Harry to revive their bond? For now, all the fans can do is hope for a positive outcome.
