The President of the United States, Donald Trump, just, recently, met the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton during his state visit. While the two personalities only met earlier this year, the president had already something to say about the duchess many years ago.

During the 2012 photo controversy that surrounds Kate Middleton and Prince William, President Trump shared several of his thoughts about the matter. Surprisingly, he blamed Kate Middleton for the whole debacle.

As it happened, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sued a French media outlet for releasing topless photos of Kate Middleton. The said photos were taken during their private trip to one of the most private resorts in France.

The royal fans never stopped supporting the couple, especially the duchess in the middle of the controversy. Even so, Kate Middleton still had a lot of detractors. Aside from the critics, she had Donald Trump, who criticized her for suing the media.

According to Independent UK, President Trump took his sentiments to social media. He made it known that the duchess should not be surprised that the media will take photos of her as she sunbathes "in the nude." She should only blame herself for this, the president added.

Upon letting his thoughts known, many individuals got mad for his statements. Some critics also called out Trump's "creepy" takes on the situation.

While the whole controversy exploded, no response was heard from the royals. In the end, though, Kate Middleton and Prince William won the case.

This isn't the first time that Donald Trump spoke against the British royal family. As per Express UK, the U.S. President also, recently, spoke about Meghan Markle and her latest debacles with the press and media.

Based on Trump's statements, he has been watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interviews. He noted that the couple has been taking things "personally," which should not be the case given their status in society.

He further contended that Meghan Markle, most especially, has become a lot more affected by how the media and press perceive her all because she has taken everything "very personally."

Donald Trump, however, revealed that he doesn't know Meghan Markle. Even so, he praised Prince Harry after stating that he has met him previously. He also shared that the young prince is a "fine man." He, then, concluded that the whole family is great and "terrific."
