Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been part of the royal family since 2011. Since then, she has experienced and has been exposed to the different facets of her unique life as a royal. She is centering her priorities on the "Queen, the country and family."

The special edition of The Mail on Sunday's You magazine, which was released in October, cited the wife of Prince William for her dramatic makeover. It detailed not just of the changes in appearance and style but also in her development as a royal with her more confident public presence.

Insiders said that the Duchess of Cambridge "cherishes traditional values" and she's quite clear on the top three priorities. It's these elements -- Queen, country and family -- that guide her in her work as a royal. So far, she's been successful at it based on the popularity polls, where she's always the number one and most favored by the public.

Royal fans on Quora said that Kate Middleton has indeed become an important figure in the royal family. With her husband Prince William and first-born son Prince George both destined to be King of England, the Duchess of Cambridge is actually in a stable and powerful position.

Kate reminds several royal fans of the Queen Mother who also valued the same priorities when her husband King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth, was still the monarch. The Queen Mother always pledged loyalty to the him before anyone or anything else.

Meanwhile, the You coverage also took note of how Kate has changed the tone of her voice to sound more natural while public speaking. She has also been wearing less makeup and changed up her hairstyle. She ditched her clutch bags and knee-length tailored dresses to favor mini-bags and bold designer clothes with lovelier colors.

Sources who work with Prince William and Kate said that the latter is quite the reasonable boss. She subscribes to the ideas of the junior members of her staff and regards everyone by their first names.

Kate also gets her message across for her advocacies in the traditional way by raising awareness for her charities and her work. In contrast, Kate's sister-in-law, Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, works on her advocacies with a hint of showbusiness, according to the magazine.

Many royal followers, however, might not immediately notice the Duchess of Cambridge's quiet transformation as a confident royal amid the other controversies the family faces. Sources said that Kate Middleton is no longer afraid of being vulnerable in public. She is well-prepared to one day sit as queen.
