Was Archie Harrison with his mom, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, when she headed to New York last September? Reports suggested that the baby secretly joined his mother when she visited and watched her friend Serena Williams play at the U.S. Open finals.

Cosmopolitan reported that Meghan allegedly brought along Archie, who was four months old at that time, for the short trip but no one knew about it. Apparently, it was Williams herself who let out the secret when she spoke to Access Hollywood about her long and enduring friendship with the duchess.

Williams said that Meghan "flew all the way with a newborn to see me play in New York." She also said the Prince Harry's wife returned to London that night, suggesting Meghan was only in the most popular American city for less than 24 hours.

However, People corrected the report to state that Archie was with Prince Harry back at home in Frogmore Cottage while Meghan was in New York. Sources from the palace said that Williams' statement might have been misinterpreted when what she really meant was that Meghan took the "whirlwind trip despite having a newborn."

While the duchess was in the city, she was reportedly seen attending a yoga class at the posh West Village. Some 60 people were there to witness the whole thing and exchanged knowing smiles with each other.

Williams said that despite their distance and Meghan's status, their friendship has remained the same for nearly a decade. The tennis star said that she can call and text the duchess anytime and Meghan would set a time for her even if she is also going through some challenging things.

Meanwhile, Archie will actually be visiting the United States for the very first time this November. Prince Harry and Meghan are set to spend a six-week holiday at the other side of the pond and it's understood that they will be celebrating their first Thanksgiving as a family with Doria Ragland, Meghan Markle's mother.

Ragland is based in Los Angeles, where Meghan also grew up. Speculations reveal that the Sussex royals could be looking at a house in this city while they are celebrating the holidays.

Allegedly, Prince Harry and Meghan are planning to have a second home in the United States, where they can stay part-time and do away with the media scrutiny, according to royal expert Dan Wootton. However, nothing has been set or finalized for now.
