Does Prince Charles suffer from gout or arthritis? Royal fans wonder about the health of the Prince of Wales after his photos, taken from his recent royal tour of India, show him with swollen feet and red hands.

According to the Daily Mail, Prince Charles had to remove his shoes when he visited a Sikh temple in New Delhi and it was there that people saw his swollen left foot. His left hands also appeared to be red and swollen that his signet ring looked tighter on his fingers.

Royal observers on Quora speculate that Prince Charles may be suffering from gout, which is caused by a build-up of uric acid, especially after he had chocolate cake with some children from India. Others think the heir to the throne could be suffering from arthritis.

However, according to Metro, this is not unusual for the Prince of Wales. Allegedly, he does have a case of "sausage fingers" or swollen feet during long travels, which might have been aggravated by India's hot climate.

The flight to this country took Prince Charles' and his entourage over nine hours. Apparently, he also had the same symptoms during his tour of Australia sometime in 2012.

Despite what seemed uncomfortable, Prince Charles appeared to be in a great mood for his India trip. Not once did his swollen feet and red fingers bothered him because he carried on with his itinerary as what was expected.

Aside from visiting the Sikh temple, Prince Charles also visited an office to meet with the country's first female drivers. He also took a ride in a battery-powered rickshaw.

The future King of England celebrated his 71st birthday with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall in Bangalore. She brought him to a holistic health retreat, where they performed yoga, received homeopathic and naturopathic treatments, and ate organic vegetables.

A source told Hello! that Camilla has been trying to get Prince Charles to spend a down time for a while now and a window of opportunity opened for his birthday abroad. The royal couple will head to New Zealand this week for more of their tour.

Meanwhile, the royal family showered Prince Charles with birthday greetings on social media. His sons and daughters-in-law -- Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle - posted their messages on their Instagram. Queen Elizabeth's Buckingham Palace account also posted a throwback photo of the prince as a baby.
