The third episode of The Mandalorian is finally out, and it was all about Baby Yoda. The tiny baby that was first introduced in Chapter One has proven to be a truly important character considering that the titular bounty hunter was ready to start an epic war just to rescue him. But did Chapter Three: The Sin also hint at Baby Yoda's true identity? Star Wars fans believe that there were several clues in the episode that teased at who the character truly is.

Chapter Three opens with the Mandalorian heading back home with Baby Yoda happily being mischievous in the cockpit of the Razor Crest. At one point, the child takes the chrome top off of a lever, and although it seems like a randomly adorable thing to do, it ends up being rather important later on in the episode. Because the bounty hunter immediately does what viewers are hoping he wouldn't do: He surrenders the child to the Client to claim his reward.

Mando's actions aren't completely nonchalant. He shows some concern for the child by asking the Client about his plans for the target. However, the Client doesn't reveal his purpose, and the Mandalorian leaves with a camtono filled to the brim with Beskar steel. He then brings it to the Armorer so she could create new armor for him.

The scene with the Armorer is lengthy as it offers a look into Mandalorian history and features more Mandalorians joining Mando. However, Mando immediately heads back to Greef Carga and asks for a new job, one that would hopefully take him far away from the planet. But when he gets back to his ship, he notices that the chrome top from the lever is missing and remembers Baby Yoda. This is when he decides to turn around and rescue the child.

The rescue is done quickly, but it also dropped several hints at Baby Yoda's importance. At one point, Mando hears the Client telling Dr. Pershing to extract "necessary materials" from the child, and Dr. Pershing is understandably concerned that the bounty hunter has returned to kill Baby Yoda. Could this mean that the Empire is trying to harvest midi-chlorians from the baby? The truth could be revealed in the next few episodes.

Mando's actions also lead to him being the new target of virtually every bounty hunter on the planet, including Greef Carga. Luckily, his fellow Mandalorians swoop in to help him in an amazing battle that eventually allows him to escape with Baby Yoda. Again, the quick order asking for Mando's head suggests that the child's importance.
