Aside from the romantic and sweet moments that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton share on social media, fans and supporters are also fond of seeing surprising things from the two artists. As it happens, the couple has been said to do a lot of fun and unique things together in the course of their relationship.
For Thanksgiving, the holiday event is no different than the others. Based on reports, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani flew to Oklahoma for the celebration, where Blake's hometown is.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the couple revealed that it has been their "tradition" for the last four years. The Stefanis would "all fly out to Oklahoma," and they would spend a week or less in Blake's bed and breakfast hotel in the area.
It was also mentioned that there are over 30 of them who normally fly to Oklahoma for the holiday. The rest of the Sheltons would just join them once they all got there, Blake added.
While the tradition of the family continues, something different happened last Thanksgiving Day as revealed by Gwen Stefani through her posts on social media.
In a report made by Hollywood Life, the No Doubt singer posted several updates via social media "stories" on that day. As seen by fans and viewers, the family prepared a unique turkey dish for this year's celebration.
In one of the clips, Gwen was seen asking her 5-year-old son, Apollo, what they will be eating for the day. The singer's son then responded that since everyone in the family loves "Funyuns," they are going to have a "Funyun turkey."
Apollo also pointed to Blake when asked who will be preparing the said dish. Quite amusingly, the country singer pointed back to the 5-year-old kid and told him that he will be the one to do it.
Later on, Gwen Stefani posted several clips previewing the end-product of their unique "Funyun turkey." It was mentioned in the clips that many loved it but, thought it was Cheetos, instead of Funyuns.
Upon seeing the clips and photos on social media, fans and supporters of both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton applauded the couple's unique Thanksgiving turkey. As per some followers, the Funyun-covered turkey really "looked good."
On another note, Gwen also posted other aspects of their Thanksgiving celebration, including their clothes and appearances. It seemingly appeared that family all went with "camo" clothes to which the singer deemed as a "perfect choice."
