Prince Charles is the future King of England, and it is expected that he should be a strong-willed man to rule the whole monarchy. However, it seems that the Prince Of Wales is a little too strong that his temper reportedly led several members of the Royal family to “break down and cry.”
The recent incident when Prince Charles is believed to have shown his strict side is about Prince Andrew’s withdrawal from royal life. Although Queen Elizabeth was the one who demanded the Duke of York to step down, many are convinced that the future king threw his weight behind the decision.
Royal biographer Penny Junor revealed in her 2005 book “The Firm” that Prince Charles has a frightening temper. “The Prince of Wales is a difficult man to advise,” she wrote.” “The trouble with the Palace is always there are advisers and courtiers. Advisers are the professional civil service type; they will give impartial advice,” she added, as per one of Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretaries.
While it is important for a King not to be a pushover, the author shared that his temper is sometimes to the extreme that it made people burst into tears. “The Prince of Wales didn’t want to hear impartial advice; he wanted to hear people agreeing, and he’s always been a bit like that,” she shared. “The Prince of Wales has a fearsome temper. It’s never been directed at me, but I’ve seen several members of the Royal Family break down and cry in my presence over the years.”
Penny Junor pointed out that while the revelation may be surprising to other people, it is normal for someone — Royal or not — to have a temper. “They are human beings like everyone else, with tempers; fury in inbuilt in several of them,” she said.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles’ recent New Zealand trip was overshadowed by his controversial brother’s interview with BBC’s Newsnight. Prince Andrew announced that he would be withdrawing from scores of charities in a move that appeared designed to protect the monarchy from further humiliation after his name was dragged into Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal.
Although the financier and accused sex trafficker took his own life back in August, the investigation didn’t end with his death. Authorities are still trying to identify more of his victims and Prince Andrew’s link to Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal.
