Tesla surprised everyone when it unveiled its all-electric Tesla Cybertruck a few days ago. The truck has a unique futuristic design, one that we have not yet seen. While the truck's radical design receives many criticisms, it also signals the artistic growth of Tesla's Designer Franz von Holzhausen.

Since his employment, the Tesla designer has made durable and beautiful design language for the company's vehicles, but according to Business Insider, the designer was falling into an aesthetic rut. But, the Tesla Cybertruck reset his story more so advances it, and for von Holzhausen, the all-electric pickup truck is a breakthrough.

Before Tesla unveiled the radically-designed pickup truck, von Holzhausen was noted for his restraint and elegance in his designs. In fact, according to the report, his calling card does not include creating wild and futuristic designs that elicited spaceships or near impossible constructions of contorted and curved lines. The Tesla Model S, for instance, is a perfectly normal-looking sedan that makes you keep staring at it.

So, why is the Tesla Cybertruck a breakthrough for Franz von Holzhausen? The Tesla Model S is the opposite of futuristic design; more than that, the lead designer made use of the electric cars' inherent engineering. It has no drivetrain, no gas tank, and no gas engine that allows Tesla to develop a sleek sedan with a roomy cabin and expansive storage.

The Tesla Model Y crossover is the one that shows evolution in the artistry of Franz von Holzhausen. The latest Roadster utilizes the familiar styling cues of von Holzhausen. These designs have been instrumental in the styles and designs of new vehicles available int he market today.

With Tesla Cybertruck, no one would think that it is tied to the reality of pickup trucks. No one deems of reinventing the pickup truck because the conservative truck market instantly rejects even temporary efforts heading tot hat direction, take the first-generation Honda Ridgeline as an example. Everything that we see in Tesla Cybertruck flies beyond the standard and acceptable norm.

And, considering that Franz von Holzhausen designed the Tesla Cybertruck, based on his usual style, it could have resulted in a flop, typical, elegant, but standard pickup truck. Instead, the Tesla designer decided to let go of his inhibitions and restrictions and confronted what the company had been avoiding. The result is a mind-blowing design that provokes artistry.

When we want to see artists like Franz von Holzhausen to grow, we should be prepared to accept what they will offer to us. And, acceptance starts when we realize that not all that is standard is good and not all new and radical is bad.
