BTS has reached the point of being unstoppable. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have won all major awards that they were nominated in recent award shows.
However, these shows have been long-time speculated of chart manipulation. So when BTS won “Song of the Year,” Jin took the opportunity to speak out against the issue.
"I want to thank our ARMYs so much,” Jin said. “We put our hard efforts into making our songs, and we will bring good song next year as well."
While many completely agreed to Jin’s statement, fans couldn’t help but to focus on the line “we will bring good song next year” from the BTS star’s speech. The hint was extremely important for ARMYs as Jin will be the first member of the group to enlist in the military.
Jin just turned 27 years old last December 4. And under the existing law, all South Korean males must begin compulsory military service before turning 28, so it is quite clear that Jin will be enlisting in 2020.
ARMYs have been demanding to exempt BTS members from serving their military services, pointing out that they have done a lot for South Korea. However, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook themselves never expected to be exempted and are more than willing to serve their country.
Meanwhile, despite being the oldest member of the group, Jin is mostly known for being the most energetic and silly one of the bunch. In fact, his bubbly personality led people to dub him as the “fake maknae” (fake youngest) of BTS. With that said, ARMYs will surely miss Jin’s cheerfulness when he enlists for the military in 2020.
Also, what fans love about Jin is his wise mind. He may most of the time show his goofy side, but his good heart always shines through.
The rest of Jin’s speech during their “Song of the Year” win proved how good of a person he is. "There are many artists and people making songs as well, I hope the world will come when all of those songs will be recognized and be listened to a lot," he said. ”There are methods of cheating but wouldn't it be better to make music with more honest ways? I hope the time will come when everyone makes good music and listens to good music."
Jin is undoubtedly Mr. Worldwide Handsome inside and out.
