Prince Andrew’s friend Ghislaine Maxwell, who is at the center of the Jeffrey Epstein and Prince of York sex claims scandal, just shuts down her UK firm a day after she was reportedly seen and photographed. Another company that Maxwell owned is reportedly closing down as well after she was unable to file her annual accounts.
For those who have no idea who Ghislaine Maxwell is, she is the owner of the home in London’s Belgravia, where the infamous photo of Prince Andrew was taken with an alleged sex trafficking victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre. She was the smiling woman behind the Prince of York and the underage girl. The controversial snap was taken by Jeffrey Epstein, confirming the close relationship between the three adults at the time.
Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted pedophile, and everyone linked to him are also being investigated by the authorities. When the image of Prince Andrew, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, and Ghislaine Maxwell emerged, many were convinced that Queen Elizabeth’s son and the British socialite knew about Epstein’s lifestyle and they didn’t do anything about it.
As a matter of fact, many believe that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell took part in Jeffrey Epstein’s illegal activities. Authorities are still trying to identify more of his victims and the Prince’s link to the scandal. “The US investigation is focusing on several potential victims in the hope that they can provide more details about Prince Andrew and his connection to the Epstein case,” a source from the Department of Justice, which oversees the FBI, told the Times.
Prince Andrew had denied the claims multiple times, stating that he was not involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal. He also noted that he had no idea that Epstein was abusing women. However, the FBI needs to investigate everyone linked to the case and, unfortunately, for the prince, the victim mentioned his name.
These speculations are probably one of the main reasons why the Prince of York stepped down from his royal duties and Maxwell shut down her business. After a scandalous interview with BBC Newsnight earlier this month, Prince Andrew announced his retirement.
