Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a six-week break from their royal duties after admitting that they have been struggling with the pressures of royal life. But a new report claims that the Duchess of Sussex is currently working with her former Hollywood PR while they are in the U.S.
This move could be a strategy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Sussex Royal Foundation. It can be recalled that the couple decided to separate themselves from their joint charity with Prince William and Kate Middleton earlier this year.
“Meghan may officially be on her royal break, but don’t believe she is taking her foot off the gas,” a source said. The break and Thanksgiving, of course, have been a time to balance the needs of her family, but you cannot underestimate what an incredible force Meghan is. Thomas Morgan has been a huge help in turning Meghan’s vision into reality. She is also acting as a great networker, helping build out relationships and business arrangements once Meghan has set up links to her other celebrity supporters and friends.”
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s foundation, which is expected to be launched in 2020, was set under the monarchy, it is not limited to the British people at all. With that said, the Duchess of Sussex may have seen the potential of making the charity even more out there by discussing it with her former PR firm in the US.
“What is most interesting is that Meghan feels that while the charity will be a worldwide venture, she sees Hollywood and American business circles as key to fundraising,” the insider continued. “Meghan feels that with the wealth in the US, focusing on fundraising stateside will bring in tens of millions of dollars quickly.”
Meanwhile, this will be the first time that Prince Harry will be away from the royal family during the Christmas season. And because of that, royal fans are upset that he chose to spend the holidays with Meghan Markle’s family considering his grandparent’s old age.
Royal fans are so disappointed shared their frustrations on the online forum Quora. When one netizen asked, “Why will Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry not be spending Christmas with the Queen?” many discussed how they didn’t like the couple’s decision at all.
However, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said that the Queen supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision. Despite Her Majesty’s approval, royal fans expected more from the Duke of Sussex. They feel like he should cherish his time with his grandparents more because they are now in their 90s.
