The three tech giants - Apple, Facebook, Google - where supposedly dream jobs are, dropped from the top 10 of Glassdoor's List of the Best Places to Work for 2019. Facebook lands on 23rd, Apple on 84th, and Google on 11th.

The result didn't mean that job seekers are no longer interested in pursuing careers in tech. The No. 1 spot in this year's Glassdoor list belonged to HubSpot. The company develops and markets software products for inbound marketing and sales. The company was founded in 2006.

The result this year was surprising given that both Google and Facebook landed No. 1 in previous years, or, at least haven't dropped out from the Top 10. Facebook's position is the lowest it got for the past rankings.

Moreover, these three giants used to be all the rage among young employees because of their unconventional workplace culture. At one point, Google's employees were the envy among others for their hip office, including free meals, bean bags, playground, and on-site laundry.

However, if recent reports are anything to go by, negative sentiments about Facebook and Google are expected. Last week, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin resigned from parent company Alphabet, passing the leadership to CEO Sundar Pichai.

In November, Google was accused of firing engineers who are calling for Google's involvement on social issues. The tech giant is now under investigation by the U.S. National Labor Relations Board regarding the accusation.

At the same time, Facebook is in the middle of investigations following accusations that it runs job ads that are discriminating against women and elderly workers.  The U.S. Employment Opportunity Commission already investigated companies that supposedly run these discriminating ads. The companies include Capital One, Edward Jones, Nebraska Furniture, Enterprise Holdings, Renewal by Andersen, and Sandhills Publishing.

Facebook is even facing discrimination cases directly lodged against the tech giant. Recent reports suggest that officials may rule against Facebook.

Apple, on the other hand, claimed in August that it created as many as 2.4 million jobs in the U.S. across 50 states. As of 2018, Apple hired 90,000 U.S-based employees and plans to hire 20,000 more until 2023. Apple said jobs are on-demand for app developers,  which currently is responsible for 1.9 million U.S. jobs

Here are the companies that made it to the top 10 of Glassdoor's 2019 list: Hubspot, Bain & Company, DocuSign, In-N-Out Burger, Sammons Financial Group, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Intuitive Surgical, Ultimate Software, VIPKid, and Southwest Airlines.
