According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, Prince William and Kate Middleton have yet to put a foot wrong. In other words, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are doing their duties so well that they continue to bring honor to the royal family.
“William and Kate have, thankfully, yet to put a foot wrong and this is likely to be a delightful and widely watched Yuletide experience from which others might learn,” Fitzwilliams said.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going to appear on Mary Berry’s Show and fans are very excited to watch the royal couple on the Christmas TV special. The royal expert said that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s appearance on the upcoming show would bring back the mood of the people to watch the royal members on television.
It can be recalled that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a lot of backlash following the release of Harry & Meghan: An African Journey back in October. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed on the ITV documentary their struggles with life in the spotlight.
A lot of people were not very happy with their revelation, as many believed that they were complaining about their royal duties. The couple then took a six-week break to the US to most probably escape more scrutiny. However, they are still currently facing a lot of negative comments despite not being actively working as royals.
Another royal who went on air that made a lot of royal fans upset was Prince Andrew. The Duke of York had a scandalous interview with BBC Newsnight, where his alleged involvement in convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal was discussed. Many called it a “car crash” interview and the Prince eventually announced that he would be stepping away from his royal duties.
But with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s positive popularity, their appearance on Mary Berry’s Show would most definitely change the public’s perception of watching royals on TV.
It is worth noting that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also received some negative comments from critics, but they are definitely not as bad as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is currently dealing with.
