Brad Pitt reportedly asked Jennifer Aniston to be his wife for the second time around. Reports revealed that he popped the question with a ring allegedly chosen by Shiloh, his biological daughter with Angelina Jolie.
The report was published in the print version of Australian tabloid NW. Allegedly, Pitt wanted to do the proposal in time for the holidays upon the suggestion of Shiloh. Sources supposedly told NW that Pitt and her daughter were quite emotional while shopping for the ring together. The report went on to say that Shiloh is quite excited to have the actress into the family.
Gossip Cop, however, debunked the tabloid story as pure fabrication. Aniston and Pitt have said in various interviews that they are not dating anyone as they are both caught up with work.
Aniston has her new series The Morning Show on Apple TV Plus, where she's set to receive awards and recognitions. Pitt has several movie projects lined-up and recently finished the highly nominated film Ad Astra.
The news outlet also spoke with one of Aniston's people who confirmed that the NW story is not true. However, the former spouses, who were married from 2000 to 2005, are definitely on friendly terms again though they are not a couple.
In fact, Pitt was at Aniston's Christmas party with friends Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Jimmy Kimmel, Kate Hudson, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Incidentally, Pitt was also engaged to Paltrow in the early '90s or several years before he met Aniston.
According to People, Aniston likes hosting her annual tree-trimming party with a large group of friends. Pitt was among the first to arrive at Aniston's house with his long-time security guard. He was also one of the last to leave the party at around 11:00 p.m.
The source said that while the party was festive, it was still a low-key gathering of friends who enjoy celebrating the holidays together. This wasn't the first time Pitt went to Aniston's party though as he was also a guest during his first ex-wife's 50th birthday in February. Sources close to the two stars told People that they have been in touch since that birthday celebration.
Meanwhile, Aniston's other ex-husband Justin Theroux was at her Thanksgiving dinner in November among another group of friends. It's unclear, however, if Theroux, who was married to the Friends star from 2015 to 2017, was also at Aniston's Christmas party and mingled with Pitt.
