Satellite photos showed activity in North Korea perceived to be a preparation for the launch of a long-range nuclear missile in the coming days, reports claimed. The said photos were said to have indicated that North Korea had been actively preparing the launch within the last month and that it may be directed towards the US.

According to Daily Mail, the satellite photos showed that the area captured could be a factory where long-range nuclear missiles of North Korea are created. It was also speculated that there had been an increase in the possibility that the country would carry out an Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test soon.

The director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies Jeffrey Lewis said that he thinks North Korea created the structure in the satellite photos to create, modify, or produce ICBM launchers.

The said satellite photos were obtained exclusively by NBC last Sunday. It was also revealed that the photos covered a temporary structure in a worksite that was made since December. After experts assessed the photos, they claimed that it was created to accommodate a launcher arm.

Since the photos were released, experts raised a warning that North Korea may abandon their diplomatic efforts with the US and that their negotiation efforts have failed over the years. It was also reported that last Sunday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un initiated a ruling party meeting which concerned the increase of North Korea's military capability.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, the said meeting was an an important step for the communist regime to discuss the organizational and political measures that the country would take to improve its militarization. The report also claimed that the fast-changing situation regarding the negotiations of dropping nuclear weapons came at a crucial time and could give birth to developing a Korean revolution.

In other news, the New York Times claimed that American military and intelligence officials have been eyeing North Korea's military activity by the hour. It was also revealed that an imminent missile test on the ICBM may be launched towards American shored.

On the same day that the report was announced, diplomatic leaders such as US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe set a meeting to discuss coordinated response against North Korea. The said meeting was said to have sparked tensions between North Korea and other states worldwide.
