Most people could only imagine what it was like living in the White House. After all, not everyone can be the President of the United States, making life in the White House very far-fetched.
But for those who got the rare chance to live in the White House, it is certainly like moving from a regular house to a mansion. But for Donald and Melania Trump’s son Barron, moving to the White House was a “downgrade.”
Before Donald Trump became the president of the United States, he and his family are already living large. In fact, Barron Trump had a whole floor for himself at the Trump Tower, complete with kitchen, living room, and even a maid’s quarter. With that said, it is quite understandable that his move to the White House was called a downgrade rather than an upgrade.
The Trumps are so rich that when Barron Trump was born, Ellen DeGeneres gifted Melania a gold stroller complete with its own chandelier to fit their lifestyle. However, many found the present to be ridiculous and branded it “gross” and “grotesque.”
“Sadly, many Americans think things like a golden stroller are a good thing. A sign of success, instead of selfish and evil,” one wrote, while another one defended the present. “Ellen bought the stroller as a joke,” they said.
Meanwhile, Melania Trump describes her only son as “calm” despite being raised in a prominent family. When people think of extremely wealthy kids, they think of privileged kids who are loud and obnoxious. But the FLOTUS shared that Barron Trump is a good boy.
“He’s a very good baby. He’s not like a crybaby – he’s calm, and it’s fantastic,” she previously told People. “Sometimes I just think, ‘Oh my God, this is my baby. I have a baby.’ There’s nothing like it.”
But many noticed that Barron Trump is a little too calm that he appears to be sad all the time. So when one netizen asked why is this so, others discussed the possible reasons why.
“First and foremost, he’s a 13-year-old boy with a 73-year-old dad,” one wrote. “That alone would be extremely difficult to deal with. All of his siblings are adults. Add to that, from Trump’s attitude and remarks about his daughter Tiffany, I have legitimate doubts that the guy even knows or cares that he has any children other than the three we always hear about.”
