Based on claims made by the two experts, the Duchess of Sussex wore a shoe collection that roughly costs $5,569 in totality. Some of the pairs in the collection include Sarah Flint Suede Knee-High Boots, Aquazzura Deneuve Bow Pointy Toe Flats, Portrait of Lady Slingback Pumps, Gianvito Rossi Cow-Print Heels, Aquazzura Rendez Vous Suede, and Metallic Leather Mules.
On the other hand, Kate Middleton wore branded pairs of footwear that cost around $3,436. Some of these pairs include the Oscar De La Renta Cabrina Pumps, Tod's Fringed Leather Pumps, Jimmy Choo's Mimi Metallic Sandals, Jimmy Choo Romy Glitter Pumps, Castañer's Espadrilles Wedge, Aldo Nicholes Block Heel, and Emmy London Rebecca Greenery Court Shoe.
With the figures stated, Meghan Markle has been deemed to spend more than $1,500 than the Duchess of Cambridge for their 2019's pairs of shoes and heels. Although this caught the attention of many royal fans and followers, the publication noted that this was the same case in 2018 when Prince Harry's wife spent "six times" more than Prince William's wife on clothing expenses alone.
As revealed by Emily Hodgkin via the same publication, UFO No More "estimated" the overall costs of the two duchesses' clothing pieces in 2018. Upon summing the figures, it was found out that Meghan Markle spent over $517,000, which was six times more than Kate Middleton's $87,000.
Several individuals called Meghan out for her huge expenses for fashion pieces alone. However, it was also emphasized by the sources that Kate's "maternity leave" for six months on that year might have played a huge factor in this dynamic. Not to mention, the Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in the same year, which then includes the costs of her pieces utilized for the special royal event.
