BTS has been in the industry for almost a decade and has sold out numerous concerts. They also have appearances in international shows, have a merchandise line, sponsors, commercials, solo projects and a lot more. With that said, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are young multi-millionaires.
And with their extremely fat bank accounts, the boys can easily buy anything, even the most expensive things out there. And since they use their mobile phones every single day, it is understandable that they want to get the latest model to enjoy the upgraded features.
However, Jin just reminded everyone that just because he is a multi-millionaire and a member of the BTS a.k.a the biggest boyband in the world, doesn’t mean that he needs to have the latest gadgets in the market. The BTS star just recently proved that even the rich and famous can be “old school.”
After BTS performed in Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook joined everyone while doing the countdown at Times Square. The BTS boys recorded the amazing moment with their mobile phones and that’s when Jin was caught using an iPhone 8. (Watch the clip here).
The best part? Jin wasn’t ashamed to be spotted using an older version of the popular mobile phone brand at all. He proudly flexes it while capturing the incredible moment at Times Square. While there is nothing wrong with Jin using an iPhone 8, it was just shocking to a lot of people to see him with it, considering his current status in life.
As of 2019, Jin has a net worth of $8 million, which means that he could afford the latest and most expensive mobile phones in the market. But in Jin's mind: just because he could, doesn’t mean that he should.
Jin is known for doing his own thing. He doesn’t give in to pressure to please other people, especially when he doesn’t agree with it. In fact, he argued with an MC in one of the interviews when she forced him to kiss V on the cheek.
“Ah, no! How can you say that?” Jin asked with a force. “People want it,” the MC replied. This response seemed to irritate Jin even more and said, “So am I supposed to do all things people want? No, I won’t!” (Watch the clip here).
