Prince Philip has been still making the headlines in recent times despite his official retirement from royal duties since 2017. It was revealed before that he has been enjoying his retirement at the Sandringham Estate.

Although he was seen just a few weeks ago because of his visit to the hospital days prior to Christmas Day, it seems that the Duke of Edinburgh has been enjoying his private life, just like how much he used to when he was still active as a working royal.

As per reports, Queen Elizabeth II's husband values his "privacy" so much. This is why he had several "outbursts" in the past against the press and photographers as per sources.

According to Daily Express, popular royal photographer, Kent Gavin shared that he "encountered" Prince Philip's "shocking outburst" in 2013 at the Windsor Great Park. While the royal park is "managed and funded" by the Crown Estate, most parts of the area are open to the public, from "dusk to dawn."

He recalled that, while he was on the "public path" taking photos of the senior royal during his time at the said park, the duke "shouted" at him asking him to "get off" of his land. He, then, asked what was he doing there to which Gavin responded that he was "taking pictures."

It was further shared that Prince Philip shouted back and told him that he does "not want" him there. This was also followed by a "few obscenities," Kent Gavin added.

Although the duke was said to "wizz off" after the heated exchange, it was added that he came back three minutes later while on his bike heading toward their direction, which further caught the attention of many causing more photographs to be taken. It was not revealed, though, as to what happened after.

Nevertheless, Kent Gavin added that this was not the only instance when Prince Philip "lost his temper" because of the press and the photographers. He attested that, in the decades of being a royal photographer, he already witnessed several "outbursts" of the senior royal owing to the same reasons.

But, despite all of these unpleasant instances between the Duke of Edinburgh and some of the members of the press, it was previously revealed that Prince Philip is the "most loved" royal of all. This comes after actor Matt Smith shared his experiences and learnings upon playing the role of Queen Elizabeth II's husband in Netflix Original's The Crown.
