RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have been together for almost a decade, so it is safe to say that they are all very close. Although J-Hope is part of the “Hyung Line” and “Rap Line” while V is from the “Maknae Line” and “Vocal Line,” the pair has a really tight relationship. In fact, ARMYs even created a ship name for them (VHope or VOPE) because of their undeniable bond.
On Bon Voyage Season 4 Episode 8, J-Hope and V proved how close they are once again. In one of the scenes of the final episode of BTS’ adventure reality show in New Zealand, VHope showed perfect synchronization that they even made the same mistake.
It all started when two of the group’s main chefs, Jin and Suga, were still in the car with Jungkook heading back home, so the rest of the boys started cooking the meals themselves. J-Hope and Jimin were mostly in charge of the prepping and cooking, while V, the self-proclaimed dishwasher, washed the kitchenwares. RM was sitting on the couch, possibly finishing some work on his phone.
Jimin then went to a different area to cook the rice, leaving J-Hope and V in the kitchen and the latter played some music with his phone. Just a few seconds in and J-Hope was already grooving to the music.
After seeing J-Hope dance, V instantly followed his lead and did all the steps that his hyung was doing. (Watch the clip here). Known for his love for girl groups, J-Hope couldn’t stop dancing. And known for his love for J-Hope, V couldn’t stop following him. VHope did these steps in-sync, by the way.
Meanwhile, despite V being BTS’ main dishwasher, his role seemed to move up a notch as J-Hope allowed him to cut some onions. While teaching V how small he should cut the onions, J-Hope began singing a line from their background music and put his arm around V to anticipate the next line.
Without saying any word to each other, VHope both did the “pinky promise” pose, thinking it was the "promise me" part. However, they were wrong.
“It’s not this part,” J-Hope said and laughed. But then he noticed that V also did the pose. His face lit up in awe and said, “We even got the lyrics wrong. It’s not ‘promise me.’”
It seems like when it comes to synchronization, VHope is the ship the beat.
