V is one of the two most active members of BTS on Weverse. The other one is Jin. But in the very early hours of January 15 (KST), V found a partner in crime in his posting spree on the platform — Jungkook.
V is known for replying to general posts about BTS and when someone mentions his name. So, when a fan asked: “What are you doing not sleeping?” He replied: “I had a drink with my family.”
ARMYs believed that V was already tipsy at the time as he had typos in his response. Drunk posting is against BTS rules, but alcohol may have already taken over V’s system for him to even think that it was not allowed.
Enter Jungkook, who was in the mood to play some word game with ARMYs (this was around five in the morning, by the way). Although the BTS golden maknae had been silent on Weverse for a very long time, he was pretty hyper that morning.
Jungkook started the word game with “ARMY” (ah-mi). Then someone very familiar who was also wide awake at the time replied to his word game. “Haircut” (mih-yong), V responded.
After their numerous exchanges, Jungkook suddenly went off-topic and shared that he had been thinking about food a lot. “Think of ramen with green onions chopped in it!” he wrote. “These days I’m always hungry.”
As for V, he posted a picture of himself with his dog Yeongtan. The proof of his tipsy state was also in the snap — a huge glass of wine, which was already almost empty.
And since he was tipsy, V did one more thing that is against BTS rules. When an ARMY asked V to post a selfie from the ARMY.zip shoot, he quickly obliged. “Did say they wanted me to post this” he wrote with a lot of typos.
At one point, Jungkook asked, “V hyung, are you a dionysus now?” BTS has a song “Dionysus” as part of their extended play Map of the Soul: Persona album. Dionysus or Dionysos is the god of the grape harvest, winemaking, and wine. With that said, Jungkook’s question can easily be translated to “V hyung, are you drunk?”
Meanwhile, Jin may have forgotten to turn his ringer down and was kept up all night by all the notification sounds. The BTS star suddenly popped in and said, “Go to sleep, Taehyung-ah, and stop ringing the notifications.”
It’s safe to say that it was definitely the most active night on BTS’ Weverse.
