Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like things that are mostly meant for “older folks.” In fact, a recent Bangtan Bomb episode uploaded to BTS‘s BANGTANTV YouTube channel proved that the golden maknae can seamlessly merge two worlds together.
It’s no secret that Jungkook loves food a lot, and this includes desserts as well. The recent Bangtan Bomb episode showed the BTS star eating some ice cream at the Gayo Daejejeon waiting room. He munched on several types of sweetened frozen treat and chose his favorite ones.
“These are my favorites here,” Jungkook said as he pointed at a couple of ice creams on the table. After seeing BTS maknae’s choices, J-Hope commented, “Hey, aren’t these for older folks?”
Most kids enjoy ice cream flavors that are really sweet and fruity, but Jungkook’s choices have red beans and corn in them. The first one he ate was a corn-shaped chal-oksus, which tastes like corn on the cob. It has mochi and corn bits inside.
The second one that Jungkook ate was a fish-shaped Boong-uh Samanco. It tastes like vanilla with actual red beans inside. “You know those fruity flavors? Sweet, tangy, and tart, stuff like that. I don’t like them. I like mild flavors.” Jungkook revealed.
The last one that Jungkook ate was his favorite, B-B-Big. This popsicle is a classic with red bean flavor with bits of red beans inside. It only took him one lick and he was instantly sent to ice cream heaven. “Like when you go, whoop!” he described the feeling he got after tasting the red bean popsicle.
This is not the only “older folks” thing that Jungkook enjoys doing. On Bon Voyage Season 4 where the BTS boys traveled to New Zealand, the 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer joined fishing buddies Jin and Suga. He liked fishing so much that he went with his hyungs twice.
Jungkook may be a kid at heart, but it seems like he has an old soul. The BTS star handled their failed fishing trip maturely and even remained optimistic for the next adventure.
After not catching any fish for the day, Jin asked, “Jungkook, how did you feel about the fishing today?” The golden maknae then replied, “Even monkeys fall from the tree at times,” he said.
