The newly appointed impeachment managers were documented entering the US Capitol with the articles of impeachment on hand preparing themselves for US President Donald Trump's impeachment trial this coming January 21, 2020. The procession of the officials marked a historical event performed only twice in a span of 232 years.

The highly choreographed proceedings of the walk of the appointed impeachment managers in the US Capitol of Trump's trial was highly recorded. It marked the ceremonial hand-off of the articles of impeachment to the Senate chambers, reported The Guardian.

The report indicated that Trump would face an impeachment trial effected last month on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of the orders of Congress. House Clerk Cheryl Johnson carried the articles of impeachment along with House sergeant-at-arms Paul Irving.

The officials carried the articles of impeachment from the chamber to the Statuary Hall where achievers from 50 states were honored. It housed a vaulted dome that divided the Capitol and the Ohio Clock. They took the documents to the Senate's chamber.

The walk was reported as an 'iconic' one because it was referred to as a symbolism of American history. The procession of officials was met by the secretary for the Republicans Laura Dove who directed the processors to a corner of the Senate chamber.

Dove then declared, "Mr. President, a message from the House of Representives," followed by the reading aloud of the contents of the resolution. It was sourced from the two articles carried by the officials where seven manager appointees were revealed.

After the reading, a Senate official took the articles from the House clerk and gave them to US Senate President pro tempore Senator Chuck Grassley. He presided by the chamber from the wooden rostrum. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnel then acknowledged the message and offered a series of resolutions. These resolutions would be discussed during Trump's impeachment trial.

Last Thursday, chief justice of the US Supreme Court John Roberts presided over Trump's impeachment trial preliminaries and would be sworn in by Grassley come January 21, 2020. He would administer the same oath that would ensure an impartial trial. The said oath would also signal the due observance of the US Constitution and laws throughout the trial.

The impeachment case, originating from the US House of Representatives moves to remove Trump as the nation's President and would be presented by seven Democrats. For the first time in US history, the seven managers are from diverse sectors of the government where two are African American and one is Hispanic.

The procession was reported to have followed a debate impeachment on the House floor. 228 against 193 voting in transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate along with the announcement of the official managers there to approved it, reported CNN. The managers were said to function as the prosecutors come Trump's impeachment trial by January 21,2020.
