A CoVID-19 patient in Wuhan reportedly passed away from respiratory failure in Wuhan after a full recovery and his discharge from the hospitals. While recovery numbers are growing, there has also been a gradual increase in "repeat" coronavirus patients.

Discharged Wuhan Patient Reportedly Dies

According to the South China Morning Post, Shanghai-based news site The Paper reported on Wednesday that the 36-year-old coronavirus patient died within five days after his discharge from the hospital.

The said report about Li Liang has since been removed.

According to the report, Li Liang tested positive of the novel coronavirus and was admitted to the hospital on February 12. His wife, surnamed Mei, reportedly revealed that Li was discharged after two weeks but was advised to stay in quarantine at a hotel for another two weeks.

The patient's wife said Li started feeling sick two days after his discharge. He was brought back to a hospital on March 2 and in the afternoon, he passed away. Li's first admission was at a makeshift hospital for CoVID-19 patients who had milder symptoms.

A handout photo of Li's alleged death certificate revealed that the direct cause of death was the novel virus. The Paper also said in its now-deleted report that Fangcang Hospital issued an emergency alert regarding more repeat patients lined up for readmission after contracting coronavirus symptoms again.

Fangcang Hospital is one of Wuhan's makeshift medical facilities, while Wuhan is believed to be the epicenter of the novel coronavirus that has killed thousands in China and around the world.

U.S. Recoveries at 15

In the United States, at least 15 people have been reported to have made full recoveries from the coronavirus. According to NBC News, most of the recovered patients in the U.S. are from California with six, followed by Nebraska with four.

Even in South Korea, there have been several recoveries reported by the government. 47 people were said to have become CoVID-19-free on Tuesday - the highest number of recoveries in the coronavirus-battered country within a day.

South Korea now has a total of 88 recovered CoVID-19 patients but it also has thousands of confirmed coronavirus cases.

Kuwait Reports First Recovered Case

On Thursday, Kuwait health minister Basel Al-Sabah said the citizen is expected to get released from the hospital after undergoing the necessary regular tests, as quoted by the official KUNA news agency.

The country also announced two new CoVID-19 cases, which were found to have recently visited Iran. The said patients are now under quarantine. The country has a total of 58 coronavirus cases.

Bahrain Reports Four Recoveries

Bahrain's Health Ministry said on Thursday that a total of four people in the kingdom recovered from the coronavirus. The ministry reportedly said three patients have completed the necessary clinical tests to be discharged.

The kingdom now has a total of 49 patients who contracted the novel coronavirus.

Over Half of World's CoVID-19 Patients Reportedly Recover

As of Thursday, the world recorded a total of 97,841 coronavirus cases. However, the number of recovered patients reportedly reached 53,786 on the same day.

Health experts and scientists revealed that approximately 80 percent of people who contract viruses will only contract mild symptoms. On the other hand, experts warned that that people who test positive of the coronavirus may think they're no longer sick after a few days but they should still be careful of going back to their usual routines.

There is still a crucial need to test negative of the CoVID-19 strain even after seemingly recovering from the disease, experts reiterated.

It remains to be seen whether CoVID-19 recoveries will climb higher than infections around the world, considering that some countries have just started experiencing outbreaks.
