The countries in the continent that have confirmed the highest numbers of the infected case include the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and France. As for the world leaders and high-profile politicians who have tested positive from these nations include the French Culture Minister, Franck Rieste, Vox party's Secretary-General in Spain, Javier Ortega Smith, and Spanish cabinet minister, Irene Montero.

British health minister, Nadine Dories, has become the first British politician who contracted the virus. She also recently interacted with Boris Johnson, who, later on, met with Queen Elizabeth II as per claims.

Italian Democratic Party head, Nicola Zingaretti also recently announced that she has contracted COVID-19. Italy has now the highest number of infected cases and casualties on the continent.

In the middle eastern country, more than 20 lawmakers have been reported to have tested positive for the virus. One of them is Iraj Harirchi, who has been the head of the country's "counter-coronavirus task force."

The same is also true for the Brazilian President's communication director, Fábio Wajngarten as he also tested positive for the virus, which has since killed more than 5,000 individuals all over the globe.

In Australia, the nation's Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton just reportedly announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. It was also then revealed that he interacted with the US First Daughter, Ivanka Trump prior to feeling ill.
