Whatever hopes for a reconciliation between Prince William and Harry may have been dashed. A new report emerged that the Duke of Cambridge is upset at the Duke of Sussex because the latter disrespected the monarchy.
Sources close to the royal brothers told the Daily Mail that things have gotten worse between the relationship of Prince William and Harry. The Cambridge royal apparently feels insulted by Harry's actions and decisions, which reportedly hurt Queen Elizabeth as well.
On the other hand, Prince Harry is reportedly unhappy with the royal family for making him feel like he is cut off. The Duke of Sussex is also not happy about the royals' treatment towards his wife, Meghan Markle. Worse, Prince Harry felt that the royal family has abandoned his son, Archie Harrison.
Sources said that Prince Harry's anger at his family "has been mounting" for some time now. The crisis talks last January in Sandringham was supposed to quell the tension. Apparently, the sources said it was pretty clear by then that reconciling Prince William and Harry was not going to work.
But the problems started even before Prince Harry met Meghan. The Duke of Sussex didn't want to be like the third wheel for Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. The royal also felt that the Cambridges didn't regard him as an equal partner in their foundation.
The arrival of Meghan into Prince Harry's life apparently only exacerbated his concerns over his role in the royal family. At the same time, the former American actress' presence disrupted the work culture and the system in Kensington Palace.
Things apparently came to a blow when Prince Harry asked Meghan to marry him. At which point, Prince William warned his brother that he could be mistaken about his decision.
This didn't end up well, as reporters have picked up two years ago, thus resulting in the brother's rift. Since then, the relationship between the two princes, who were once very close, started cooling off.
This news comes as it was reported in February that Prince William and Harry have been talking on the phone more after the Sandringham crisis talks. Sources told Entertainment Tonight that the royal brothers don't actually hate each otherdespite what has been written in the press.
The source went on to say that things are looking up for a potential reconciliation between Prince William and Harry. The dukes apparently also agreed that they will be talking to each other first if issues crop up, instead of listening to their staff and advisers.
