Meghan Markle was a part of the Hollywood scene before she met and married Prince Harry in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex started her career as a briefcase model in Deal or No Deal, and eventually landed the role of Rachel Zane in Suits.
Everybody knows that Meghan Markle’s acting career was far from the success of most actors. But Thomas Markle Jr. still decided to launch a brutal assessment of his sister’s acting skills.
“I say this gingerly here, I guess, she’s not an A-list actress. She was a character in a series on cable,” he said. “I think I watched it once or twice - I saw it a couple of times. She had a few good lines in it, a few good scenes.”
Thomas Markle Jr. shared that Meghan Markle marrying a real-life Prince would give her more opportunities. “Now I think she will be given more opportunity, with being who she was, so I think it might open a few more doors for her. But she’ll get some good movie roles, she’ll do alright,” he noted.
Meghan Markle’s brother believes that the reason behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quitting Royal life is to give way to what his sister really wanted, which is to go back to Hollywood. When asked if who was the brain behind all this, he gave a very obvious hint.
“Who just goes in there and turns things upside down and takes off or convinces Harry to do it… or it's a mutual decision,” Thomas Markle Jr. said. “I think I said it once before, maybe they are just madly in love and want to go off and raise their son all by themselves.”
Previous reports claimed that there is a possibility that Meghan Markle will return to Hollywood. The insider revealed that the former actress is “actively looking” for an agent or manager.
“Meghan is actively looking for representation. She has begun outreach,” the source said. “It can be a manager or an agent, but she’s reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared in their withdrawal announcement that they wished to be “financially independent.” Although they still receive funds from Prince Charles and the Duchy of Cornwall, the couple needs to find sources of income.
