TWICE is planning to bless their ONCE fandom with a lot of content as nations reel from lockdowns and quarantines to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). TWICE has officially launched its TikTok account, which means that Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu may soon be releasing cute videos as they enjoy each other's company for the duration of their unexpected hiatus.

It can be recalled that most Kpop groups like TWICE have halted their performance and comeback schedules due to the growing threat of COVID-19 in the world, affecting close to 470,000 people and resulting in the death of over 21,000 patients. Nations have imposed lockdowns and moratorium on public gatherings to prevent the spread of disease to more people.

South Korea was also one of the most affected by the disease which resulted in the declaration of several areas as special care zones by the government.

ONCEs who spotted the account expressed hope that it would be made public soon because they miss TWICE members a lot. Fans said that this will help connect with TWICE even from a distance, All Kpop reported.

Meanwhile, some fans expressed the belief that the TikTok account was part of JYP Entertainment's strategic partnership with US label Republic Records, which handles the career of stars like Ariana Grande, Drake, Taylor Swift, and Post Malone. Fans said that reaching out to a global audience via TikTok can help TWICE in their bid to reach a wider market.

After the world recovers from the challenges of COVID-19, it is expected that TWICE will have plenty of surprises in store, perhaps including TWICE Mina's return to the group after an extended hiatus to focus on mental health.

It can be recalled that last year, Mina sat out group promotions for several months after she was diagnosed with anxiety. JYP Entertainment announced that while she participated in TWICE's Feel Special comeback, she won't be joining her members in promoting the album so she could focus on getting treatment and feeling better.

Most recently, Mina rejoined her members for a fan event in one of their stops in Japan. She was also flooded with messages of love from fans during her birthday.

According to a report by SOMAG, fans recognized her Mina's bravery in admitting that she was going through emotional problems and for deciding to focus on her healing. They are expecting her to return on stage with her members once she is fully recovered so that TWICE can promote as a nine-member unit once again.
