NCT Dream marked a new milestone with their much-awaited comeback as their title track Ridin' topped Melon's real-time music chart for the first time.

NCT Dream's Ridin' rose to the No. 1 spot of Melon during the early morning of April 30, a few hours after its release. This is a pretty big deal for the group because they are the first NCT unit to achieve the feat, Soompi reported

Melon is the largest music streaming site in Korea, making the achievement even more significant to NCT Dream.

Apart from topping the chart on Melon, five of the songs from NCT Dream's comeback mini album Reload placed in the Top 6 spots. 7 Days placed third while Love Again, Quiet Down, and Puzzle Piece took fourth to sixth positions. The only song in the Top 6 that did not belong to NCT Dream was ON by BTS, which remained strong in the chart since its release on February 21.

Before the release of Ridin', NCT members expressed high hopes for the song because of its energetic melody which would appeal to the fans. They said that the energy that the song had represents them as a group very well.

"Ridin' is a good song to listen to while going out for a drive. I think it will be good to listen to when you can't sleep at night. It's a song that will make you feel like we're there with you if you're thinking about NCT Dream," Jisung said.

According to the members, for this particular comeback, they want their music to be heard by more people and they want fans to feel NCT Dream's energy through their promotion. They said that this is their way of thanking their fans who have waited for them to come back in a bigger and better way.

It can be recalled that SM Entertainment recently announced a new promotion system for NCT Dream wherein they eliminated the graduation system that was originally planned for the group.

While Mark was the first member to graduate when he turned 20 years old in 2018, SM decided to keep the members together, including Mark, to promote under the NCT Dream team name. However, members will also be promoting under different NCT units and will also be involved in solo projects.

NCT Dream's Reload was released on April 29 at 6 pm KST.
