Jin in absolutely gorgeous — no question about that. Even Science backed up his claim when he called himself “Worldwide Handsome” when he won the top spot of “Best Sculpted Face in the World.”
In 2018, 18,000 contenders from 58 countries were nominated for the “Best Sculpted Face in the World” award. After much consideration, Jin’s handsome face reigned supreme, according to sculptor Radek Schick.
He said that Jin’s face is beautifully balanced and symmetrical. He also has amazing plump lips. And because of this, Jin was awarded a crystal trophy with an engraved photograph and 3D version of his face. (Check out the photo here).
So when Jin called himself “Worldwide Handsome,” he wasn’t exaggerating at all, he was just stating facts. The best part of all is how Jin owns his “Worldwide Handsome” title wherever he goes. He also makes sure that people would always capture his ridiculously good looks every single time.
Many typecast beautiful people as someone serious or with no sense of humor. But Jin breaks this stereotype as he is one of the funniest members of BTS. That being said, the “Epiphany” singer is mostly spotted laughing out loud with his members.
Jin knows that when you laugh too much, your face distorts. So every time he saw himself on the big screen at award shows laughing, he has a habit of quickly switching his expression and giving the camera a “Worldwide Handsome” look. (Watch the clips here and here).
But Jin is not vain to watch himself on screen all the time, so he sometimes fails to realize that he was being filmed. In one instance, Jin was seen dancing on stage during an event while everyone else was standing and waiting for instruction. He was looking at the side, probably watching a video on the screen. But Suga saw that Jin was being filmed and he told his hyung about it. Upon hearing it, Jin stopped dancing and quickly turned his body to the camera’s direction. He then put his hand inside his pocket to strike a pose and smiled sweetly. (Watch the clip here).
What Jin didn’t know is that even if he smiles from ear to ear, he still looks gorgeous. Also, ARMYs adore his silly ways. So whatever he does, he will always be Mr. Worldwide handsome to them.
