Saillet also noted that China has seen the most gradual pace of development based on the overall outcomes of the company's Asia business strategy in the last few years. However, he highlighted that there remain untapped opportunities for managed travel that Xie's input and extensive knowledge of China's market would expand the company's activities further.

In a statement, Xie announced that he already has a capable team and has sufficient access to resources to fulfil his duties. He also noted that FCM Travel Solutions is well-positioned to capitalize on the 'new normal' in the travel management sector.

He also acknowledged challenges associated with his appointment, such as prioritizing different functions and building trust with the company's key players. He noted that FCM China's triangular network is involved by customers, suppliers, and partners. Hence, his Asia management team would look for feasible ways to deliver a promising future for the company in China and improve the company's services in managed travel.
